Trans Guyana Airways Limited, a regional Guyanese airline, is one of the few. In 1956, the airline began operations in Georgetown (Guyana), using one float aircraft.
Trans Guyana Airways has been a major domestic commercial airline in Guyana since then. It works with Gum Air in order to offer a weekly scheduled flight between Paramaribo, Suriname (Suriname), and Georgetown (Guyana). The service runs seven days a week between Eugene F. Correira Airport (OGL), and Zorg en Hoop Airport(ORG).
